General of the Army (abbreviated GA) is a five-star general officer rank. It is the second highest possible rank in the United Federation Army, after General of the Armies. It is equivalent to the rank of Field Marshal in other countries.

A special rank of General of the Armies, which ranks above General of the Army, exists but has never been conferred and is mostly an honorary rank.

Rank Insignia

The rank insignia of a GA is five stars organised into a pentagram pattern.

Usage

The rank of General of the Army is not one frequently used but is still maintained in army structure. The rank is usually awarded by the President with the consent of the United Federation Senate.

Ranks Senior

The rank of General of the Armies is senior to the rank of General of the Army. However, the rank of General of the Armies is used mostly as an honorary rank due to the circumstances it would be awarded under, despite carrying responsibilities, that is conferred by the President with the consent and advice of Congress.
