The 5th Elysiumite senatorial election occurred on January 15, 2020, exactly two months after the last election.
This election saw the first electoral performance of the Reformist Party, a merger of the Democratic Traditionalist and Libertarian-Progressives, Elysium’s two largest parties. Due to this merger the left wing faction of the Libertarian-Progressives broke off the to form the Progressive Party, and a new political party the Free Society Party rose up just to oppose the Reformist.
One independent was elected to the senate.
