The Arlish Republic, more commonly known as Arland, is a micronation in Ohio, USA. The country is divided into two parts, the North Region and the South Region. The capital is set as Bird City, a lively city with many people. The first settlers in Arland were in 1960 in Bird City. Through being an independent country, Arland has developed into a country with many. The first paragraph should contain relevant information about location, significant subdivisions, and a brief history.

The country is currently run by A. Penn. who plans to do nothing with the country but develop it at the moment. A president, and two senates, managing either region of the country. Arlish Citizens can vote on the President, leaders of the two senates, and Arland's laws.

Arland's foreign policy is a "You're Rude, you're out" system, in which all the country will try to have a good relation with other countries until a country has rude behavior to Arland, in which it may effect the nation's recognition on other countries and passport/citizen control.

Etymology

Arland has gone through many names in the past. Originally, this micronation was shared with a friend of A. Penn. Later on, the friendship dissolved and the name was changed from Pennhagdia to Penndia. Eventually, A. Penn. thought the name didn't sound right and changed the name to Arland.

History

In prehistoric times, native Americans settled near, in, and/or around what would later become the state of Ohio. Later on, Europeans such as A. Penn.'s descendants arrived and started Colonizing America with Great Britian. Later, Ohio became a state of the United States. Around early 1960, a house was built in what would later become Bird City, the capital of Arland. In 2021, the Arlish Royal Family moved into the house. In April and May 2023, it was discussed to start a Micronation with a couple of Penn.'s friends from school. The nation was started on 27 May 2023 and the constitution was made in August 2023, during a time period of the nation's rapid expansion. The country was self-run by then and later changed government types again. Now, Arland is a country meant for anybody, welcoming anybody, and doing what an average Micronation should.

Politics and government

The government has one person being King Penn, that has full control over the country. A president, vice president, and head of the Upper Senate is chosen by a voting system in which the citizens vote. The head of the Lower Senate is chosen by the king, president, and the members of the Upper Senate.

Early government

At first, the country would be run by an Oligarchy, consisting of a couple of A. Penn's friends from school. Then, it was changed into a Monarchy before it became a mix of a Monarchy and a Democratic Republic that it stands as today.

Head of state

The head of state currently is King Penn. If the King were to die, he would choose one to have complete rule over the country. If he/she were to die suddenly, then it would automatically go to the President or their brother/sister, in which the decision is made by the Upper and Lower senate agreeing on votes.

Head of government

The head of government is the president, in which it is currently nobody Election week is always the last week of December (not including Jan. of next year) and the new president, or any government official is swept into power within the day of January 1.

Law and order

The Arlish Police (abbv. AP) enforce the set of laws. Each city in Arland has at least one police house, however some have two, with Bird City and Chicago even having three. The Death Penalty does not exist in Arland, however some Arlish Citicens would like it to be brought to the country. Arland follows the standard set of U.S. national laws, and some "unusual" ones are part of the ruleset.

Military

The Arlish Miltary has 2 parts. The Army, mainly used for fighting on ground levels, and the Air Force, used for fighting in the air, for airspace, etc. Arland has only a couple soldiers at the moment but plans to have more.

Administrative regions

Arland is divided into two regions, the North Region (Chicago, Estice Woods, and Westford) and the South Region (Bird City, Jacksonvil, Gague, Antorinor, and Boblino.) The cities are separated by the United States, and within each region are a set of highways, and Arlish Rail connects both of the areas.

Geography and climate

Arland has a very mixed climate, usually temperate, but sometimes the temperature can be over 100° Fahrenheit (38° C). Arland is located in Central Ohio and it consists of 2 Lakes, a River, two forests, and a small house, each being their own city respectfully. Arland also has many birds, hence the name Bird City for it’s capital.

Economy

Arland's GDP has GDP of $510 or A$ 3060. Arland's current economy is better than some micronations, being slightly more sophisticated.^{[citation needed]} Arland's largest exports are Vegtables, Fruit, and Wood, while the largest imports are Plastic, Metal, and Cloth. The Bird City Stock Exchange lets Arland's residents invest in the nations 50 most valuable businesses, while another 50 are compiled into a group called 'The Smallest 50.'

Arland’s culture is considered some of the best by it’s residents and Tourists.

Food

Arlish Food usually consists of Meat, bread, chocolate, and other sweets. The national dish is the Arlish Cheesesteak, and the national breakfast is Chocolate on Toast with Bacon.

Landmarks

The Bird City Tower, located in the nation’s capital city, servers as Arland’s Capital Building and Bird City’s City Hall and City Center.

The largest Esticeism temple is located in Estice Woods, and serves the Esticeists living in Arland, that make up over half of the population.

The Chicago Grand Mall is the largest mall located in the city of Chiacgo and is the biggest Mall located within a Micronation and is the largest mall in Arland.

In popular culture

Many bands, Television shows, and other forms of media are from Arland. Popular band Cuatro Ist Quatre filmed a music video on various Arlish Rail trains and Popular Arlish TV Show “Friday At The Office” is set in Jacksonvil.
