Fort Hall Republic is a micronation located in southeast Idaho which is one of chief Rocky Boy's many Reservations and Reserves. Though Fort Hall Reservation (Reservations and Reserves are Sovereign Nations) was created in 1868, chief Rocky Boy was allowed to send many of his Montana Ojibway Subjects to FHR in August 1901. A month before or in July of 1901, chief Rocky Boy and 8 other Ojibway's, went before Judge McClernan to request for passports to enter Idaho. Below is a July 11, 1901 news article about their agreement. Click on it to read it. They were given their passports then reached Fort Hall Reservation in early August 1901. Below is an August 1901 news article about Chippewa's (Ojibway's) camped at or near Ross Fork Agency (aka Fort Hall Agency) having a good time. Click on it to read it. They were there selecting their new Reservation. In 1900, they officially passed an agreement to cede close to 500,000 acres of Fort Hall Reservations west, so Pocatello could expand. It left Fort Hall Reservation with 1.3 million acres. That's probably what led to August 1901's events. It was one of chief Rocky Boy's first Reservations and Reserves set aside for him and his Ojibway Subjects. This happened about a half year before chief Rocky Boy sent off a letter to President Roosevelt asking for Reservations for Ojibway's scattered across United States he was leader of. Chief Rocky Boy's first Reservations and Reserves, were probably set aside for him in 1896 and after.

Fort Hall Republic, which is part of Rocky Boy Tribe of Chippewa Indians, are governed by a Totemic System which is Communistic. By law, all land is held in common. No land is allowed to be owned individually. There are 6 major totems within Ojibway Society. Within each of those totems are smaller totems that are aligned with their major totem. Their major totems are Military and Police, Hunter, Fisher, Merchant, Bird and Medicine Totems. Smaller totems within each major totem, were named for what animal, bird, fish, trade, medicine and Military and Police positions they belonged to. Their Merchant Totem had far more totems than all others. However, their Military and Police Totem had far more members. All totems within each major totem, had a selected leader to be imprisoned during her/his term. All 6 major totems each had a leader selected to be imprisoned during her/his term. These leaders of totems are submissive to their subjects. They have to be submissive. It's not vice-versa.

Our relationship with other Micronations is origins of their micronation. We take this seriously because we have proof that we have a presence at those micronations (Reservations and Reserves) that chief Rocky Boy prepared long ago for his descendants. On September 17, 1851, American leaders recognized Ojibway Territory in Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. They will deny it yet we know our history they are disrupting. Later, in 1895-1896 and after, American leaders forced 1,000's or 10,000 to 20,000 Ojibway's to relocate elsewhere. Chief Rocky Boy was their leader. Canada agreed to accept chief Rocky Boy's Ojibway Subjects. England also accepted some of chief Rocky Boy's Subjects. In regards to other nations and our views on them, that is difficult because they can't do much to help our cause. It's more important to align with micronations that take their micronations seriously which means they have historical proof of their nations existence. Those micronations that have intentions of becoming independent, are nothing new. They've been around for 1,000's of years. They are located in every nation. They became or become discontent from some discrimination, law or religion. They tend to react by declaring they no longer recognize a nation they are citizens of. That's civil unrest which often turns deadly. We don't want to get involved with such groups. Our's is not civil unrest. It's reviving our nation.

History

Fort Hall Reservation was created in 1868. Saulteaux Ojibway leader chief Big Bear, lived in southeast Idaho near Snake River before moving to Montana. That's according to chief Little Bear who was his son. FHR is home to Shoshone Ojibway's and Bannock People. Their Reservation originally covered 1.8 million acres. According to white historians, a survey error happened. It was another white excuse to steal much of Fort Hall Reservation. FHR covers 1.3 million acres. That's after around 500,000 acres of western FHR was ceded. Chief Rocky Boy led over 100 (it was probably several hundred) of his Montana Ojibway Subjects, to Fort Hall Reservation in August, September, October, November and December 1901.

Politics and government

Totemic which is Communistic.

Law and order

Indian Reservations are not allowed to police themselves. They are policed through FBI.

Foreign relations

Indian Reservations are not allowed to have foreign relations.

Geography and climate

Southeast Idaho where Fort Hall Reservation is located, is largely mountainous. To their west and south, is an area of land that is somewhat arid and not well suited for farming. Climate conditions at Fort Hall Reservation are extreme. Winters are cold as a result of a high elevation. Summers are somewhat long and hot. July and August being their hottest months. December and January are their coldest months.

Economy

They really haven't got an economy at Fort Hall Reservation. Many of FHR's citizens find employment at nearby Blackfoot and Pocatello which are border towns. FHR leaders lease out much of their agriculture land to whites instead of allowing their citizens an opportunity to use their Reservations land to generate a steady income.
