History
The town was settled long before time had a name, after a Hwan Empire fishing vessle got lost in a storm in 8005 BC. Wuhu Town was started as a colony of the Hwan Empire, but the Hwan had no idea about this until it was rediscovered in 1874. After the Hwan Empire fell, the settlement became the capital of the new independent Wuhu Island.
