The May 2017 Presidential Election in the United States of Wings is an upcoming election in the United States of Wings to elect the President of the United States of Wings. There is currently one declared candidate, incumbent President Emerson Rief, however a former write-in during early opinion polling, George and Jeb Bush, have jointly been guaranteed a spot on the election ballot in May as an Independent Republiapache.
Candidates
Republiapache Party
The Republiapache Party was founded in mid-December by President Rief and Horatio Eden in efforts to preserve the traditional ideology of Wings and establish a firm to defend their political positions. The faction's creation named the first official political party in United States history, and therefore meant that for the first time there would be non-independent candidates running for political office.
The party will continue its big tent, catch-all mentality by appealing to all kinds of citizens during election season.

Independents
No independent candidates have declared themselves as participants in the presidential election, however there was speculation from Speaker of the House Horatio Eden, and there have been several attempts to draft several non-Wingian residents or citizens as presidential candidates, which is technically against the Constitution of the United States of Wings. The most successful draft attempt has been the draft of Jeb Bush as a presidential candidate.
As of December 31, 2016, the Wingian Election Commission has recognized George W. Bush and Jeb Bush as candidates together after their write-in appearance in at least three opinion polls conducted by Wings and Stripes.
