War of The House Spiders

Overview

The War Of House Spiders was a three-day long campaign of extermination carried out by the Leikovian Government, assisted by ████████ against the large spider population in the house of the president. It resulted in significant depletion of the spider population.

The War

The War lasted from the 2nd of December 2018 to the 5th of December 2018, and resulted in the deaths of an unknown number of spiders, from all areas of the house. The Leikovian Ground Invasion Corps, led by President ██████, was the force that took part in the campaign, which resulted in the near total destruction of all Arachnid populations in Leikovia.

The War was justified under the classification of spiders as being "Undesirables" in Leikovia, which was one of the more controversial policies of the time.

Aftermath and Arachnid Rights

Soon after the war, it became evident that the Spider populations within Leikovia were recovering extremely fast. After the war and the great effort expended to cull the spider numbers, there was a lack of will to wage another war with the same objective. As such, the President, ██████ repealed the Arachnid Act, which effectively removed any possibility of a second Spider war. Since that, there has been no large scale conflict, only smaller skirmishes.
