Cause of the revolution
The main cause of the revolution was bad inside politics, the Federal Republic of Grebna And Vonerebna and the Empire of Rondaria were in a Holiday truce which was supposed to last from December 24th 2022 to January 7th 2023, however due to freezing temperatures, their guns had jammed, and the soldeirs practically knew each other since they had been trading and having fun every day of the truce. They simply refused to fight, they organized themselves to each force their government into peace, The rondarians went to their capital, Nova Sofija, and the grebnars- to Vityok. This resulted in a fighting in a corn field near the city between citizens (with the army) and the local police force. At one point, someone caused a small fire to occure in the corn field, which scared off most of the police force, and with little to no resistance, the amry marched into the government and forced the executives to sign peace with the Rondarian government, which at this point had surrendered to their army.
Aftermath
The government of the Federal Republic of Grebna and Vonerebna was sanctioned by the president, and until January 7th 2024 practically holds no power in the control of the country, controlling things like the National standard, the court, Police and local militia forces, tax increases etc. As of December 2023 the Presidential palace has stated that the government and parliament have been allowed minimal control over court debates and land disputes. President Stefanov stated that resuming the work of the government would take time and trust of the citizens, who never forget January 6th. This would also change the way Grebnars view war, and currently another war between Rondaria and Grebna and Vonerebna is unlikley.
Tribute
Every year on January 6th at exactly 10:00 (GMT+2) The entire city of Vityok becomes silent for 5 minutes, as in tribute of the Vityok revolution state loudspeakers play the famous Bulgarian masterpiece "Izlel e Delyo Haiutin". A strong song with it's goosebump-giving bagpipes playing for 5 minutes without stopping. Also for 3 days (January 4th-January 7th) All flags in the country are lowered by half in memory of the revolution
A piece of poertry dedicated to the battle
"Мамо, мамо, Сине, сине (Mamo, mamo, sine, sine)"
- Mamo. mamo, vojnici dolaze! Front napušten, Vitjok punen.
- Tenkovi dolaze, a mi smo zatvoreni.
- Moj sin ide u rat, Ja idem u selo
- Molim se na gospodi, za sinu i vitjoku.
- Oni su vratiti zdravi.
- Sine, sine vitjoka, Ja te ne znam
- jesi li ti plamen ili tvoj prijatelji
- Mama, mama. rat smo dobili
Although this poetry has no official owner, as its first writing was found in the burning corn field by an investigating personel, It was signed by a soldier from the Serbian battalion of Grebna. Thats why many people refer it as: The poertry of the unknown warrior. It has a mini statue dedicated to it in Vityok.
