The Feeding of the Gerbils

Hey. It is time we "sat" down in Skype and talked to one another again. DNSgov (talk) 01:59, 13 May 2017 (UTC)

I notice you reverted my recent edit on the page Grand Unified Micronational. Your point about Abelexit not being notable enough seems reasonable to me. However, to me, an external observer, the recent downturn in activity and criticism of the organization do seem notable. I would like to add the following text from my original edit to the article:

"However, in late 2017 the GUM became increasingly inactive, coinciding with a general decrease in activity in the Microwiki Community. The organization was criticized as irrelevant, pointless, and unwilling to accept new ideas and new members."

Anyway, I'm asking you if this is reasonable, because I'm not exactly an expert on the GUM. Peter B (talk) 06:13, 6 February 2018 (UTC)

I understand the willingness to add such a quote to the article, and I agree aside from the part about the GUM being "irrelevant, pointless, etc." because those accusations have existed for as long as the organization has been an active part of the community. As such, I have added the following to the article:
"In December 2017, as a response to a decrease in activity both in the organization and throughout the community, the GUM saw several reforms which shifted Quorum to a monthly affair and made the Lounge the central arena for discussion." Twain (talk) 16:26, 6 February 2018 (UTC)
