Cascade (₲) is a planned open source decentralized digital currency based on the file sharing, in which nodes, members of the network who lend digital storage space, are rewarded with the coin.
Design
Cascade originated as a concept out of the creator's disappointment with the lack of use and generic design of micronational cryptocurrencies, as well as the community's "poor methods of file sharing."
Cascade is written solely in JavaScript and employs the the Argon2id algorithm to randomize the reward for storing a file.
Encryption
Files submitted to the network are encrypted both in transit and in storage to eliminate the risk of node owners facing legal penalties for potentially illegal content submitted to the network by someone else.
