The International of Left-wing Parties shall be a federation of left-wing parties, which upon admission shall agree to the principles within this Charter.
The International shall establish a permanent assembly, and the parties may send delegates to represent them.
The International shall act as a voice for left-wing parties around the world, and work to reinforce the left as a politically united international movement.
The International shall work to discredit unfounded arguments against the left as a whole.
The International shall have a permanent Assembly of Delegates. The delegates shall have the responsibility of staying informed with Assembly deliberation.
The Assembly of Delegates shall, after twenty-four hours from proposal, adopt a resolution if the proposal has received more supporting votes than opposing votes, with each party granted one vote.
Resolutions shall always be non-binding except upon the International itself: resolutions passed shall have no authority to coerce any party to take any action, nor create any entity with the authority of force. Resolutions shall compose the official opinion of the International, and should be relevant to the principles within this charter, and should not unnecessarily destructively affect broad agreement the organization strives to attain.
The Assembly of Delegates shall elect a chair to serve a term of 31 days.
A party is defined as a group which adheres to a definition of membership so there is no question if one is inside or outside it, formed for the purpose of promoting a certain government policy, and is structured enough that it is capable of choosing from among its own members a representative congruous with its own sponsored policy.
This charter shall be amended by the Assembly if within the forty-eight hours following the introduction of an amendment, two thirds or more of the votes cast are in favor.
A member party shall be expelled from the International if within twenty-four hours following the initial motion, two thirds or more of the votes cast are in favor.
To establish public cooperation, in some form, in which those who work exercise significant control, either through government or through organised labour, or both, over production of goods and services for the benefit of the people.
To be friendly and sincere with those of opposing stances, yet be firm in the principles herein.
To oppose all forms of governance which deny fundamental human rights and dignity to the governed.
To oppose fascism, as reliance upon aggression and an unrestrained governing elite are incompatible with our aims.
To promote equality of opportunity and equality under the law, neither promoting nor disparaging citizens of any state.
