United States of America or The American Confederation is a geopolitical union that lays claim to the entirety of the United States and Gondwana between the United States of America and the Republic of Fort Woodchuck. The confederation was proposed by Allen J. Hanna, the president of Fort Woodchuck, to expand the territory of his nation as well as improve relations with the United States. As the president states,

"We are forming this union not to surrender and reunite with the United States, but to do it vice versa, our nation is small and dingy and we barely have anyone supporting us, so we must as well become a new nation instead."

The confederation has a population of 332,403,657 people. The "official" president is Allen J. Hanna and it uses the United States dollar as its currency.

History of both nations

Fort Woodchuck

The nation was formerly Fort Allen under United States rule with a population of only 2. It slowly developed when cement was discovered under the fort, starting a month-long project of clearing away dirt and leaves. After a while, the fort was rebuilt with a new road. This is when the first flag was raised. On August 4, 2021, the area was renamed Fort Woodchuck because of the nearby Woodchucks surrounding the Illinois landscape. After a while, the fort was abandoned after not being used for a couple of months. Soon on September 20, 2021, the fort was renamed again and declared independence as the People's Confederacy of Arrowstan, a communist nation. After a month, Arrowstan collapsed and came out as the Republic of Fort Woodchuck.

United States

Paleo-Indians migrated from Siberia to the North American mainland at least 12,000 years ago, and European colonization began in the 16th century. The United States emerged from the Thirteen British Colonies established along the East Coast. Disputes with Great Britain over taxation and political representation led to the American Revolutionary War (1775–1783), which established the nation's independence. In the late 18th century, the U.S. began expanding across North America, gradually obtaining new territories, sometimes through war, frequently displacing Native Americans, and admitting new states. This was strongly related to belief in manifest destiny, and by 1848, the United States spanned the continent from east to west. Slavery was legal in the southern United States until the second half of the 19th century, when the American Civil War led to its abolition. The Spanish–American War and World War I established the U.S. as a world power, and the aftermath of World War II left the United States and the Soviet Union as the world's two superpowerss. During the Cold War, both sides fought in the Korean and Vietnam Wars but avoided direct military conflict. They competed in the Space Race, culminating in the 1969 American spaceflight that first landed humans on the Moon. The Soviet Union's dissolution in 1991 ended the Cold War, leaving the United States as the world's sole superpower. In the 21st century, the U.S. is still a superpower, but American influence has diminished with increasing globalization.

Wars

Before the confederation, the relations between the Republic of Fort Woodchuck and the United States were poor and the Fort Woodchuck has been in one war against the United States of America, the main purpose of this war was to get international recognition from other micronations. The war was called off after realizing everyone thought the war was stupid. Fort Woodchuck claims it is the winner of the war. Right now, the Republic of Fort Woodchuck is working on founding the Woodchuckian Nuclear Services, a program to help develop Nuclear weapons.
