History

The Triarchy of Khardonia was formed on January 7, 2013, after its impromptu secession from the United States (and establishment of local-right-to-sustain) the month prior. Its original founder was (and is) Axyna (the current Director of Ministers within the Micronation). The Micronation has never been (to this date) a part of any micro/macro-national community. Khardonia was initially an experiment on behalf of it's current leader. Said experiment was one in government and self rule. Khardonia was an attempt to take the good of democracy and expand civil and personal freedoms even further by instating a direct democracy as opposed to a purely representative election system. Khardonia started as a single-citizen state in 2013 and grew from that point until it's decline starting in late 2016. Khardonia mostly handled its international affairs and press releases on the now-defunct micronations.org. Most of Khardonia's citizens came from that micro-national community, or from locals who wished to join. To date the Triarchy of Khardonia has not been involved in any micro or macro-national conflicts. Khardonia has not to-date been involved in any micro/macro-national wars, skirmishes, or conflicts (Total Lost: 0, Total Neutralized: 0), though it has never backed down from one either.

Economy

Khardoni N10 bills, series 2017

The Niik was the national currency of Khardonia. The country currently has no businesses within it and hardly has any economic structure at all. The government has announced that the nation's official currency is the Niik (NK) with purchasing power $0.20 per NK1. The government has issued that there will be a six percent (6%) sales tax, and a thirteen percent (13%) income tax. The state produced N100 at an initial market valuation of $0.20/Niik, the nations federal bank as of January 15, 2014 was valued at $20.00. From that point on Khardonia suffered a heavy devaluation of currency as citizens refused to trade with it at all. By the same time in 2015, the N15,245 in the national monetary system was worth less than $5.00. The Khardonian economy recovered slightly after a trade deal with a privately owned Nordkavn bank in late 2018. Estimated valuation grew to N29,500/$4.75 which is comparably better than in years previous. The loss of valuation was small enough here to keep the system from completely losing value or from bursting entirely. Most of the very limited trade in Khardonia was for and from the capitol to hard goods suppliers (literal nuts and bolts). The economic upturn didn't last long because that same private bank was taken under litigation in the District Court of Nordkavn. By January 2019, the total valuation of the Khardonian economy was N41,000/$3.66. Shortly after the Niik was discontinued at a total loss of over 15000%. By late 2019 a single Niik was worth $0.000008. As of December 3, 2020, the Niik is no longer in circulation, but KID has provided some pictures of Khardoni bills for the archives.

Government

The government is (as considered by Khardonia, though it truly resembles a Republic) a Triarchy. The Tri in Triarchy symbolizes the three top government officials (that are elected by governors of provinces, colonies, and states once a year on January 15). These three top officials are known as, the Director of Ministers (Proposes bills, can veto bills that are sent in by governors, citizens, and other local government officials and has the ability to administer Prime Assemblies (assemblies between the three top government officials (for war, national announcements, alliance agreements, defence pacts, war, etc.), and can assemble a cabinet of individuals that advise him/her) commander and chief of the Armed Forces), the Minister of Foreign Affairs (tries to keep the nation out of war, announces declarations of war to the public, manages massive international trade agreements, and meets with officials from other nations), and the Minister of Inner Affairs (manages national infrastructure (large highways, skyscrapers in the capital, etc.), manages national police forces, and manages both native and international corporations that come to the country.

N10

Governors are elected directly by the people (through majority vote) or the Governors state, province, or colony, and can only be candidates if they were previously (prior year) mayors of cities or towns. Elections for Governors happen each year on January 15. The two candidates will be nominated on January 7 of each year by the Prime Government (top three government officials) officials. The two candidates will consist of the previous governor (if he/she so chooses) and another non-previously (from the previous year) elected governor. Town (and city) Mayor elections will be completely chosen by the citizens through majority vote.

Armed Forces

The Khardonian Armed Forces (KAF) was established in writing in the Khardonian constitution. The framers of which knew that a true national military force (at least in conventional senses) would likely fall flat in its attempt to establish any true military presence (anywhere). All kept in mind, they sought to create the first and only military branch: Khardonian Intelligence Division (or KID). The KID's lifetime mission was and is to collect and distribute intelligence information for the state. In late 2018, when Khardonia was effectively deserted, the KID began shifting and shuffling state information into secure positions. The agency is still working to complete its first and final operative measure: "Total '86", which will not be completed until 2026. Khardonia is currently considered, "Dead" but KID will continuously move, store, and secure data until the point of operative completion or national rebirth.

In late 2015 the nation began its first work in weapons technology by producing wooden arrows. By the time KID was established, the state knew it would need a complete technological reconstruction to keep up with its local micro-rivals, so it gave KID the legal permission to create a scientific subsidiary division known as "the Khardoni Technical Advancement Division" whose main job was and is to invest in and undertake scientific advancements for the state. KTAD will be in operation until KID's planned dissolution in 2027.

When the the nation was initially founded in 2013, there was a national population of 9. By spring of 2015, that number had jumped to 16 individuals that were residing in or citizens of the nation. The constitution was ratified that year and with it came new laws and a government requirement of yearly census. Here are the population figures that have been gathered in the yearly census: 2013: 9 2014: 9 2015: 16 2016: 5 2017: 1 2018: 1 2019: 0 2020: 0 2021: 0

Technology

Khardonia's civilian technology is relatively modern with consistent electrical imports from the U.S., but the nation lags severely behind in the areas of Military Technology, Technological Trade-Law, and National Infrastructure. For example, Khardonian trade-law doesn't even recognize the existence of technological copyright in that exact writing and would not be able to fully have a true technological sector. In a situation like this however, the Khardonian Government reserves the right to make any and all technological advancements, innovations, or ideas public. Khardonia's only true military capability (aside from Data-Storage) is via the internet and is based on macro-governmental infrastructure. To top this all off, the national infrastructure is virtually non-existent.
