The Tinakula International Zone is an international zone shared among all members of the Progressive Association. It's also known as the reviving of Tinakula, a controversial micronation which lasted for a few months. The founder is Afrasiyab Jamshaid and he's currently the leader of the nation.
History
First Tinakulan Mess
Tinakula as a micronation was founded on September 30, 2020 after a peace treaty between the DRSBI and the Baffin RAJ. During the existence of Tinakula, the nation suffered several turmoils and crisis, false accusations of vote rigging, voter fraud and "expulsion" of citizens, throughout the whole crisis, the name Tinakula was severely tarnished and considered a rogue state by the LIN and ISAF, it was also despised very much by the Cupertino Alliance. There were two sides to this, one side backed Afra Jamshaid and his leadership, many of the nations on that side are currently in the Progressive Association, however there was another side which included those who opposed Afra's leadership, called him a rogue dictator and backed Lawrence's leadership, this notably included Ziegler, leader of ISAF, Desslok, the leader of the LIN and Al Nuttuere, one of the chairmen of the LIN. This whole list of crises, instability and turmoil is known as the 'First Tinakulan Mess' which lasted from 23 November 2020 - 25 January 2021.
Since then, Afra, and those who work with him, have tried to mend relations with nations that had branched of Tinakula, such as Kazatlé'on and United Vuaqava as well as those who opposed him.
Second Tinakulan Mess
On the 17th of February, just after the crisis which happened in United Vuaqava which involved it's newly elected leader banning most members, Afra started to point out multiple problems with Vuaqava and the fact how Vuaqava gets away with it's consequences unlike Tinakula. This resulted in an argument which caused Afra to be banned in Vuaqava once again, afterwards, he made a controversial post in the subreddit outlining the problems in the nation. Some accused him as advertising and lying, yet others thought of him as trying to tell the truth and trying to spread awareness. After the post of made, Afra was accused of vote manipulation for getting the Progressive Association to vote, in return he mentioned how it wasn't a big deal and he was going to get mass downvoted and the situation was so tense that he wanted to try all sorts of things which would make him more listened to. In United Vuaqava, there was a plan being lead by Lawrence about banning Afra and Alex due to vote manipulation and alternative accounts despite the reasons they laid out, the attempt of banning would most certainly go ahead, Lawrence's side were also responsible for this in the past and at that time. This is the time when Lawrence's side started harassing Afra and Alex much more.
Both Afra and Alex decided to leave the Micronational community due to stress and the toxicity of the community. Later on in the day, in the form of protest and opposition of Lawrence's side, Afra decided creating 7 alternative accounts and started making polls and statements mainly attacking United Vuaqava and the Nexan Republic, this event was great damage to r/micronations and several people were involved. Afra also posted on r/micronation, this happened up until the afternoon of the 18th of February when he was told to stop and decided to stop.
In the morning of the 18th February, Jayden Dagsa, President of Jayditaria who lead the Progressive Association as Afra and Alex were leaving, decided to speak to the Pizza Republic how their nation wasn't bad after the nation attacked them. Later on the 18th of February, Alex tried to get his accounts unbanned. At the end of the day, Afra spoke to Desslok about peace. The talk continued into the morning of the 19th of February when Afra and Desslok spoke for a lot about how the Tinakulan Mess had the potential to do a lot more damage and how it was getting out of hand. Afra and Desslok agreed about moving on from the event and not talking about it as there was so much controversy surrounding it and would just cause more damage. Desslok proposed the idea of making the Progressive Association a Junior LIN Training Camp, once things cooled off, and how both the LIN and the Progressive Association could help each other in giving nations independence. Afra said that the LIN could help professionally and the Progressive Association can make it more diverse in terms of members. Basic peace between the Nexan Republic and Tinakula was be established and Tinakula tried to establish peace with other nations. The leader of Cimbrun, who was also mentored by Desslok decided to also mentor the leader of Tinakula.
That marked the end of the dilemma of the Second Tinakulan Mess. During the second crisis, the nation of Tinakula remained very peaceful, but there was a lot of conflict outside and a lot of controversy surrounded the nation.
On the 20th February, the leader of ISAF decided to attack Afra multiple times and even launched another poll because in the one Afra made, the majority of people favoured his stay at that time. Afra reported the account of Lawrence, the leader of ISAF and the multiple accounts of Al Nuttuere, at the same time Alex was getting unbanned.
On the 27th February, Afra spoke to Phunanon about his reddit suspension and the r/micronations ban, Afra believes how the drama he did in r/micronations was partially wrong and condemned by many people, however, he mentioned how the Tinakulan Mess was just causing too much damage, he also personally believes he did it for important reasons, as mentioned before.
Afra's statement on the Second Tinakulan Mess was this, "This Mess involved much more people than before, and in just a few days it had caused much more of a catastrophe than the last Tinakulan Mess which had spanned several months, however that doesn't mean a lot of trouble and argument wasn't caused, in my 4 months of being a micronationalist, throughout the whole thing so much controversy has surrounded me, I have been described as the worst micronationalist in history and would call myself one of the most controversial, yet I just tried to be a great leader, a few people seriously ruined that, but I want to move on from this, and just leave this disaster behind me, the motto of Tinakula translated to 'Peace in our Nation', we failed really badly in that, and it's something we can learn from, so I urge everyone leaves the chaos behind them, and look into the potential of a brighter future".
His second statement was this, "I knew that the First Tinakulan Mess wasn't the end of it, when it ended, it felt so incomplete, there was still a lot of controversy and hate, also I had lost Tinakula, I really hope the Second Tinakulan Mess is the end of it, but it's important to be careful, because another Tinakulan Mess could quite easily happen, so it's really important to be peaceful now, and possibly mend relations in future".
Tinakulan-Ambestani Mess (Third Tinakulan Mess)
On 5 Mar 2021, the National Executives left micronationalism for the 2nd time, the first time being during the 2nd Tinakulan Mess, due to worse enemies, Judah the Apostolic and Sylvie smearing the names of the two countries, Ambestan and Tinakula. Desslok, head of the Nexan Republic, and Director for Democracy, took over the role of National Executive.
Tinakulan Revival
As of the 18th of October 2021 Aānaāk Desslok, Prime Executive, and Luke of Wellmoore decided to start revamping Tinakula after the leaving of Afra and the Vice Executive leaving. Luke of Wellmoore was appointed Vice Executive and revamping started. The International Zone was shut down and revived as the Republic of Tinakula.
Location
The claims of Tinakula have changed very much over time, mainly grown, but it has always kept it's claim of Tinakula, Nord Island and up until the near end, Emananus Island and Vuaqava. Vuaqava later became United Vuaqava.
However, the Tinakula International Zone claims Tinakula Island, Nord Island, Mborokua and Makalom. The International Zone hopes to maintain these claims. Tinakula Island was formerly a part of New Melanesia.
Politics
Tinakula International Zone under the Tinakulan Democratic Socialist Party is not realist, in the sense that it follows the rule "Democracy can not work in a Discord server". However, it respects other political parties which oppose that rule as long as those political parties respect the Tinakula Democratic Socialist Party.
In addition to that, the leaders of the Tinakula International Zone act as mayors. Most of the important decisions on Tinakula's future are decided by the Progressive Association.
However, since establishing peace with the Nexan Republic, there has been a political transition where the Tinakulan Democratic Socialist Party will move away from the "Democracy can't work in a Discord server" and become more realist, but with a few conditions, basically a bit more realist than South Tinakula. Afra decided to do this in order to gain more respect among the Micronational community, Afra doesn't oppose the discord server ideology though, but he is willing for his nation to take the challenge of the change.
In addition to that, leader of the International Zone will act much more than leaders and much less like mayors, the International Zone will become more independent, however the founder recommends that parties work together to avoid conflict and severe difference of ideas.

Elections
Elections take place in the Tinakula International Zone every 2 months. Voting is based on the political party preference of the majority of the voting populace.
On 1 March and 5 March, two debates took place between the Left Wing Alliance for Progress and the Democratic Conservatives. Both parties discussed their views and plans on foreign policy, education, reserving local culture, government structure and the future of Tinakula.
