The Royal Wellmoorean Navy (RWN) is The Kingdom of Wellmoore's naval warfare force.The Royal Wellmoorean Navy is part of His Majesty's Naval Service, which also includes the Royal Wellmoorean Marine Corps. The professional head of the Naval Service is the Chief of Naval Staff & First Lord of the Sea.

History

The Royal Wellmoorean Navy was established on the 16th of March 2020 by Royal Decree.

Personnel

Personnel are divided into a warfare branch, which includes Warfare Officers and Naval Aviators,as well other branches including the Royal Naval Engineers, Royal Navy Medical Branch, and Logistics Officers. Present-day officers and ratings have several different uniforms; some are designed to be worn aboard ship, others ashore or in ceremonial duties.

The Fleet Commander has responsibility for the provision of ships, submarines and aircraft ready for any operations that the Government requires.

The Royal Wellmoorean Navy uses the same Rank Insignia and badges as the British Royal Navy.

Titles and Naming

Of Ships

Royal Wellmoorean Navy ships in commission are prefixed with His Majesty's Ship (Her Majesty's Ship), abbreviated to "HMS". Submarines are styled HM Submarine, also abbreviated "HMS". Names are allocated to ships and submarines by a naming committee within the MOD and given by class, with the names of ships within a class often being thematic or traditional.
