Candle stolen
In early July, a candle had been stolen on Capital Grounds. It was stolen by agents of the New Maryland Republic (NMR). Though the reich asked for the candle back, the NMR replied with a hostile message. The reich would not put up with this
The operation
The Kaiser and Owen Edwelson spoke for a while, trying to find a plan to get the candle back. They eventually settled on convincing the NMR that the reich would 'buy' back the candle with fake money. On July 15, 2018, the Kaiser and an agent carried out the operation. It was a success. The candle was back.
Aftermath
The day after, the two nations met for peace talks and NMR surrendered, becoming a puppet of the reich.
