Error in the TNT module, workarounds

I'm not sure when this began, but at some point Infobox country triggers an error in Lua in the TNT module, which is used for languages. As a result, when adding Infobox country in the visual editor, the user sees no usable fields. There is a workaround, which is to simply add the Infobox country categories in the source code. However, this won't work for new users. I'm not much of a coder, so if anyone can fix this, it would be massively helpful. @Caskade720: Module:TNT is irrelevant to Infobox country and is not responsible for invisibility with Visual Editor. I would explain why some templates are broken with Visual Editor but it will just be a very long and boring technical word salad. We recommend you do not use visual editor at all, since it breaks more than templates and trashes pages with line breaks and other things. 🍸 MattL (talk) 00:52, 10 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

It would be better to change this : {} for this : {} Link=Principality of Sancratosia Cloe de Sancratosia (Talk | Contributions) | About Sancratosia 17:22, 9 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

More broadly speaking, I do not think it appropriate for an official MW infobox to appear to endorse a particular standardisation system when there are several competing ones in existence (IMSO, RIS, MIS, GUM etc). Either all systems of codes should be supported, or none at all - or better still, use customisable fields instead. ADAMVS PRIMVS IMPERATOR 18:18, 9 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Could it then be linked to this page instead? List of micronations by official currency It would need a lot of cleanup, but it could be an alternative to having the red link everywhere in infoboxes. I would like the currency parameter amended to return the RIS 001 article, as no micronation will get an ISO currency code. It is what is on other nation infobox templates. Please and thank you. I think it would be better just to make it able to be linked dependent on what users want it to be linked to. That way it has more use and isn't set to only be utilized by people using one standard (Let alone a protected infobox that is meant to be used on a majority of pages giving favor to one system). Like everything in micronationalism, RIS isn't the standard used by everyone. 𝄞 StrubberContributions 05:12, 25 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Strubber: No, but it's the closest to ISO, and so works the best with the ISO code. That was the intent. Perhaps it can default to RIS, with maybe a |noris=yes parameter. His Majesty John by the Grace of God of Baustralia, King (talk · email) 02:31, 3 February 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Second to this, even though a country may not use RIS standards, it still is factual, thus has no reason not to appear on one's page. If one said, well, its their country, we are adding political bias to a universal encyclopaedia. That is a ... bizarre accusation, but okay. Strubbers suggestion allowing for the use of multiple currency codes is a far better solution to just solely relying on a single relatively unknown system. Sertor (Chat) 03:43, 3 February 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@KingdomOfBaustralia: That doesn’t make any sense. My suggestion allows people to use RIS codes but not have it be the requirement for them. It shouldn’t be RIS or nothing for an infobox. There’s no political bias in my argument, as im just arguing for people to use what they want. 𝄞 StrubberContributions 03:28, 3 February 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Strubber: I wouldn't be against incorporating a variety of standards, but we need something that's not redlinked to ISO, so I set it that way. Originally, I thought it was unintentionally overlooked. His Majesty John by the Grace of God of Baustralia, King (talk · email) 03:31, 3 February 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@KingdomOfBaustralia: Simply removing the automatic link would fix the problem. Then people could link to RIS, another standard, or no standard. It’s the easiest solution really that doesn’t require extensive maintainence. 𝄞 StrubberContributions 03:35, 3 February 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Please make sure Wikipedia links actually point to Wikipedia, i.e. change PPP to PPP. The inability for users to correct this themselves has led them to creating MicroWiki-based copies of those Wikipedia pages, which we obviously don't want.
