Exceptions
Asterisks may indicate the subsequent awarding of a particular medal, decoration or order. For example, a person who has served 12 years in the Baustralian Armed Forces may use the post-nominal of BD (displays as BD), serves ten more years, receives a second award and may use the post-nominal BD* (displays as BD). This is useful with future categorization, and allows the ability to create categories such as Persons with 2 Baustralian Forces Decoration awards, etc.
MM, by default, links to the Minty Medal. For disambiguation, use MMt or MMM when referring to the Medal of Military Merit. It displays as MM.
