In the party's bylaws, the official ideology was determined as Socialism, Communism, Marxism-Leninism, Socialist democracy. At the same time, there are some ideologies, although not official, within the party. These are Social liberalism, economic liberalism, anti-capitalism, anti-fascism.
April 2021 coup attempt allegation
On April 9, 2021, they tried to stage a coup against a group of governments that they called the "Tavil Communist Council". However, it failed. At the head of the coup attempt commanders were party leader Racheal Juan and party spokesman Daniel Cendrick. At the same time, it was claimed that 12 deputies in the parliament were involved in the coup. New party spokesman Wallis Murphy, who replaced Daniel Cendrick, claimed that they had nothing to do with the coup, that Racheal Juan and Daniel Cendrick were trying to stage a coup on their own, and that the party had nothing to do with it, and denied the accusations. Parliament Speaker Jackie Madison announced that they have filed a lawsuit to the Constitutional Court to close the Tavil Communist Party. Preliminary investigations are still ongoing.
Racheal Juan's expulsion from the party
After the attempted coup, Racheal Juan was caught and detained while fleeing to Fiji. He was put on trial for the coup attempt case and was arrested. Thereupon, he was expelled from the party with 65% of the vote in the referendum held on June 9, 2021, and Noah Fischer was appointed as the party chairman.
Intra-party division
After the party's alleged coup attempt, 46 members of the Tavil Communist Party formed the Tavil Workers Party on 1 June 2021.
