Taigh a Batan is an Esperanto based language (an Esperantido). It was the national language of Taigh a Bata, albeit the fact that it was underdeveloped. Until August 2011, the Taigh a Batan government had been more interested in developing the Caran language, leading to the steady deterioration of interest in the Taigh a Batan language. However, the Language Development Branch standardised the Taigh a Batan language, changing it on a large scale.
Despite the fact that Taigh a Bata no longer exists, the language is still spoken in the territory of McMillan, Free State of Albion owing to Taigh a Batan influence.
Development
The development of Taigh a Batan so far has been divided into 2 periods:
- Old Taigh a Batan (2009-2011): based on Esperanto with an English syntax and a liberal borrowing of words from other languages. The development of the Taigh a Batan language was halted when some sentences in the language tended towards somewhat of a gutteral mix. However, Old Taigh a Batan was used as a foundation for development of the current period;
- Second Period (Contemporary) Taigh a Batan (August 2011 – present): a complete overhaul and standardisation of Taigh a Batan. Second Period Taigh a Batan combines the grammatical and phonological features of Esperanto, some grammatical features from Ido and Glosa and a mixture of vocabulary from Old Taigh a Batan, Esperanto, a variety of Romance languages (chiefly French) and a number of a priori elements.

Taigh a Batan has a grammar based on the Esperanto, Ido and Glosa languages.

When involving time, the words pro (before) and post (after) are used to denote days and times of the day e.g protago (yesterday).

Much of the lexicon in contemporary Taigh a Batan is derived ultimately from Esperanto, with elements from other languages such as French, Talossan, Apiyan and Haitian Creole along with some new a priori elements.
