The Supreme Court of Slavtria (Slavtrian: Верховвіний Суд щодо Славатрі, Verkhovvinyy Sud shchodo Slavatri), officially the Supreme Court of the Republic of Slavtria (Slavtrian: Верховвіний Суд щодо Славатрі Респаблік, Verkhovvinyy Sud shchodo Slavatri Respablik), and sometimes shortened to the Supreme Court of the Republic in cases, is the court of last resort of the Republic of Slavtria. It deals with administrative law, civil law and criminal law cases, and supervises work of lower courts.

Composition

The supreme court is composed of the President of the Court, the Chief Justice, and one other justice.

President of the Court

The President of the Court is always held by either the President of Slavtria or Prime Minister of Slavtria. They supervise the justices, and sometimes fill in for the chief justice in certain situations.

Chief Justice

The chief justice's job is to preside over court cases while hearing arguments.

Naming

Case names

Case names are created using the format: "Plantiff(s) v. Defendant(s)". An example is "MediaSlav SNTV v. Former employees".

Citations

Citations are created using the format: "Case name Year--Case number--Type of case SCRS". An example is "MediaSlav SNTV v. Former employees 2022-1-03 SCRS".

Notable cases and decisions

MediaSlav v. Workers

A notable case was the criminal mischief and vandalism case between MediaSlav SNTV and three of its former employees, with MediaSlav saying that some workers were destroying property in MediaSlav Studios.

Removal of Thomas Jacobs

The removal of Thomas Jacobs was a decision made by the Supreme Court on 11 October 2022 to remove the citizenship of Thomas Jacobs and the recognition of the Roscami Federation.[a]
