State dress is the civilian equivalent to Full dress, and the Baustralian equivalent to the British court dress and uniform.

State dress is divided into the same two types worn in the UK, with court uniform worn by certain legal, academic and clerical persons, as well as certain officers of Parliament. Court dress is worn by non-military personnel, and not entitled to court uniform, or when military attire would be inappropriate in some way.

Court uniform

Parliamentary and legal officers wear the same uniform. Speakers wear the robes of the high courts of Baustralia, as do the Supreme Judge and Lords Appellant. Clerks never wear robes, and the speakers only wear robes in most formal occasions, where as legal persons always wear robes.
