Star Hill is an absolute monarchy, viewing itself as a "rebirth" of the SRK. The current monarchy in place is meant to be temporary until a future Constitution is hopefully formed. there are 8 Royal Ministries which each have their specific purposes, such as Foreign Relations. Star Hill's main philosophy is humility, and it's main mission is to spread the ideas of humility throughout the micronational community.

Star Hill has little influence over the micronational community. The SRK, while still having little power, were still more active in diplomatic relations, being in WDTP, which is now an inactive discord server with little to no activity since mid-2019. Even so, Star Hill's online presence has still grown largely, even surpassing the presence of it's previous iterations.

History

Background

Inactivity

In February 2020, the President of the Second Republic of Kayenay, Kasra, announced a government shutdown, originally scheduled until March. However, with the first wave of the COVID-19 Pandemic, that was extended to 2021, this time fully shutting down all levels of government, followed by a period of isolation and identity concealment period.

Formation of the Interim Government

The inactivity period ended on 4 December 2020, with the President writing the Dissolution Act of 2020, a form of gradual dissolution.

The Dissolution Act created the Interim Government of Kayenay, and over the next 4 days, it would slowly dissolve the SRK, until on December 8, where the constitution of the SRK was abolished and the governments merged, transferring power to the Interim Government, and subsequently dissolving the Second Republic.

The Interim Government was an "Unrecognized Autonomous State" that existed from December 4 to February 26, when the Auburn Convention of 2021 dissolved it.

Dissolution of The Interim Government and Formation of Star Hill

The Formation of Star Hill dates back to December 2020, when Project Kayzia was started. Project Kayzia was a project devoted to succeeding Kayenay with a new micronation. Around the same time, the concept of Star Hill also emerged. the two were put together, and on February 20, 2021, the plan was put on full action. 6 Days after preparation started, on February 26, 2021, at 7:40 PM, the Auburn Convention began, involving the signing of the Kirschdorf-Loop Act, which formed Star Hill's Government, and merged Kayenay into it, turning the land claim of Kirschdorf into a state, as well as claiming other lands. the act was signed at 7:49:24 PM. The Star-Hill Kayenay Address, which was a declaration of independence and more of a formal address, was signed at 7:52:44 PM, which in turn enacted Article IV of the KL Act, dissolving the Mound Interim Republic, which was formed in the Dissolution Act. at 7:52:57 PM, the Convention was adjourned.

Original flag of Star Hill only used until February 27, to avoid confusion with Snagov.

Waiting Period

The early days of Star Hill mostly involved interaction on Microwiki@Discord, as there was not enough time to be working on other aspects of Star Hill, although the nation was still at least partially active.

Diplomatic Relations and Constitution

The opening of diplomatic relations begun when Star Hill signed a treaty of alliance with Saspearian on the 17th of June, 2021.[1] On June 27, 2021, The KCC returned as the SHCC, opening up StarHill Online, a news website, releasing an article about an ongoing heatwave in the area. On June 30, The Constitution of Star Hill's development began.

Government

While it has planned to open up a parliament or other form of democracy, Star Hill is an absolute monarchy. The Monarchy is in control and appoints the minister of the 8 Star Hill Royal Ministries, which are:

  • Ministry of Parks and Conservation
  • Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  • Ministry of Weather and Environment
  • Ministry of Communications
  • Ministry of Citizenships and Census
