The Smohain Special Operations Unit was a military unit formed during the Hougoumont Campaign, and operated under no micronational entity. It dissolved on October 27, 2020, due to lack of activity and the fact that those in the unit had already formed military units respective to their own micronation.
History
Smohain Special Operations Unit was formed on May 3, 2020 as a response to potential infiltration during the Hougoumont Campaign. The unit and insignia were created by Hunt Powell, who was the head of the unit for its' entire existence. It gained its' name from Smohain, a hamlet used during the Battle of Waterloo. This name was chosen as a mockery of the Johnny Land's pro-french rhetoric. The unit was vital to the war and participated in significant military actions.
The SSOU was used somewhat in the Tungsten-MACP War, but was dissolved as the unit was replaced by intelligence groups specific to certain micronations, such as the United Provinces of Natlin Army Cyber Command and the Tueoedeth Cyber Operations Unit.
