Slaventia, officially the Serene Republic of Slaventia (Serbo-Croatian: Republika Slaventija) is a micronation whose government is a Direct Democracy. Slaventia was founded on June 1, 2005. Slaventia became a member of the Union of North American Micronations on July 7, 2007.
Government
Slaventia is a direct democracy. The micronation has multiple heads of state, with a body called the Council of State running the micronation. The members of the council of state include; Director of Foreign Affairs, Director of National Defense, Director of Health care, Director of the Environment, Director of Energy, Director of the Interior and the Director without a portfolio. The council elects a ceremonial head or President who has no extra power and only has a symbolic role the president is ceremonial head of state and head of government. His title is President of the Council of State.
History
Although the country was founded in 2005 the constitution was adapted on may 1st, 2007 in a historic move that sought after easy entry into the Union of North American Micronations.
Economy
Slaventia's economy is centered on Banking and investment. Slaventia has no taxation of any kind. Slaventia's Central Banking and Investment Group have the monopoly on banking and investment since there are few others in the country.
Geography
Slaventia is situated on the North American Continent. The Capital of Slaventia is Centrum with approximately 20 inhabitants. Most of Slaventia is covered by forest.
