Shawn (Shawn Michael; born 26 June 1987) is a nobleman, politician, and the Hereditary Sovereign Prince and current reigning monarch of the Principality of Woodlandia. As the Prince of Woodlandia, Shawn is a member of both the Woodlandia Royal Family and the Mull Royal Family, respectively. As the eldest son of Her Majesty Queen Tracy of the Kingdom of Mull, Prince Shawn is also The Crown Prince of Mull, and therefore heir presumptive to the Kingdom of Mull, after his sister The Princess Royal Brittany.

Early life

Shawn was born on Friday, 26 June 1987 in Southern Ontario, Canada.

When Shawn was 11 years old, he proposed the idea of creating a small secluded country in the woods, made up of a few small self sufficient towns and villages. The country was to act as a tourist destination for people interested in visiting a real working medieval town or village, without the use of modern conveniences and technology. Shawn named the country Ardania, formed a government system with laws, and proclaimed his grandfather the first King of Ardania.

On 11 December 2000, Prince Shawn founded the Kingdom of Mull, and proclaimed his grandmother Shirley the first monarch, and the first Queen of the Kingdom of Mull.

On 16 November 2014, Her Majesty Queen Shirley of the Kingdom of Mull officially abdicated, after ruling for nearly 14 years. As the eldest daughter and heir apparent of Queen Shirley, the Prince's mother, Tracy The Princess Royal was officially proclaimed the second monarch and the second Queen of the Kingdom of Mull. By default, as the eldest son of Queen Tracy, Prince Shawn became the second Crown Prince of Mull and heir presumptive, upon his mother's accession as Queen of the Kingdom of Mull. His sister Brittany was given her mothers title of The Princess Royal.

Reign

On 12 March 2019, HRH Prince Shawn, declared the lands of Woodlandia to be an independent sovereign nation, separate of Canada, and officially proclaimed himself the first monarch and the first Hereditary Sovereign Prince of the Principality of Woodlandia.

2019 Treason Plot

The 2019 Treason Plot was a coup to overthrow and dethrone the reigning Prince of Woodlandia (Prince Shawn) and carry to out a possible assassination attempt, led by a close personal friend of the Prince's, the then Acting Prime Minister of Woodlandia, Lisa. This is the first account of illegal activity recorded in the Principality of Woodlandia. The 2019 treason plot brought on a new government era with many changes resulting in the creation of new laws, a new Prime Minister, and tighter security measures for both the royal family and the Principality of Woodlandia; resulting in the formation of the Royal Woodlandia Guard.

Legitimacy & Right to Rule as Sovereign

HRH Prince Shawn, considers his claim of the lands of the Principality of Woodlandia (formerly belonging to Canada), to be more legitimate than any land claims made by previous Monarchs of Canada. Though the Prince remains a loyal citizen of Canada, and supports it's current monarch, he also believes England and it's rulers, both past and present, have no official claim of legitimacy or any right to have ever established a monarchy in Canada in the first place. HRH the Sovereign Prince Shawn, believes he has the right to claim land of Canada, over the current monarch of Canada, Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom and of the Commonwealth because...

Claim

1) Birthright - Possibly one of the strongest arguments of legitimacy to any monarchy, is whether a Monarch has a right to rule a country, that they themselves were not born at, and who bare no ancestral descent of the peoples of the country.

- Queen Elizabeth II was born in England, United Kingdom, and not Canada. She has no ancestors of Canadian or Native descent, unlike Prince Shawn, who fulfills all criteria of birthright. He was born in Ontario, Canada, and has many ancestors of Canadian descent, as well as Aboriginal roots and Native ancestors of pre-Canada.

2) Residence - History proves most Kingdoms prosper when the current monarch lives within the Kingdom under which they reign.

- The current Queen of Canada (Elizabeth II) lives in England, United Kingdom. She has never taken up residence in Canada since her reign began (1952), and no member of the British Royal family lives in Canada to strengthen her claim. The Prince who has maintained a permanent residence in Southern Ontario, Canada since his birth (1987), will maintain indefinitely, a permanent residence in the Principality of Woodlandia (former part of Northern Ontario, Canada).

3) Politics - Politics are often used to run governments, and can be a way to help the country and it's people. If a monarch is not involved in the politics of it's country, historically, the country risks errors in the decision making of government politics.

- Though Canada is an independent country, Queen Elizabeth II is only the nation's head of state. The Queen does not play an active role in Canadian politics, and her powers are mostly symbolic, unlike the Prince who has nearly absolute power of the government of the Principality of Woodlandia, limited only by a unique constitution.

4) Aboriginal Descent -

- Neither Queen Elizabeth II, her ancestors or her descendants have aboriginal roots or native ancestors. Prince Shawn is descended from native aboriginals of pre-Canada, most closely, the Odawa peoples, which are federally recognized as Native American tribes in the United States and have numerous recognized First Nations bands in Canada. They are one of the Anishinaabeg, related to but distinct from the Ojibwe and Potawatomi peoples.

- King Robert III of Scotland is the 16th Great Grandfather of Shawn. King Robert's daughter Princess Mary Stewart is the 15th Great Grandmother of Shawn, from who he descends. According to DNA test results, Shawn is the 16th Great Grandson of King Robert III of Scotland. He descends from the Kings daughter, Princess Mary Stewart, who is the 15th Great Grandmother of Shawn, through his grandmother's paternal line.
