The Second Sarala Baishya Ministry was the union council of ministers formed on 6 December 2015 after the December 2015 elections held to elect the President and the Prime Minister.

Formation

It was decided that the candidate winning the election will be elected as the President, and the candidate losing shall be the Prime Minister. Eventually, Varuna Sriraya won the elections and became the President, and Sarala Baishya was appointed as the Prime Minister.

Composition

The second ministry of Prime Minister Sarala Baishya composed of six ministers of cabinet rank including prime minister Baishya herself, while five other ministers were inducted to the rank of ministers of state. It was also during the formation of the ministry that the junior ministerial position of ministers of state were introduced. The Ministry of Home Affairs was also created during this period.
