The Second Maluhian War, also known as the War of the Coalition, was a conflict primarily fought between the Republic of Maluhia and Pyrinthia. fighting was mostly online, employing “nuke bots”, an idea taken from the Seljuks.

Prelude

Shortly after the disastrous Pyrinthian Civil War, public morale was at an all-time low in Pyrinthia, and the government’s rule was in danger. In one last desperate attempt at repairing their reputation, the dictatorship declared war on their old enemy, the Republic of Maluhia.

Shortly after the declaration was issued, the Bondi Caliphate also jumped in, deploying troops and mobilising for what would become one of the biggest ongoing wars in Maluhian history.

Day 1

At 3 in the afternoon, Pyrinthian cyber-warfare specialists conducted a successful raid on Maluhia’s discord server, managing to disable communication systems in the Republic. After the raid, the Bondi Calpihate followed up by flooding the Maluhians’ emails with spam messages.

At 4, the fresh Free Kingdom of Pyrinthia joined the war, launching a counter-raid on the Bondi Caliphate’s discord server, using nuke bots to wipe out all channels.

Day 2

The Blackswords, a group of state-hosted mercenaries, were hired by the Bondi Calpihate to assist in naval operations. The first real combat started when an attack spearheaded by the Bondi Janissaries and elite Sturmtruppen snuck past Maluhia’s border defences and clashed with the elite Republican Guard, backed up by the Maluhian Home Army. Meanwhile, a beach landing hosted by the Blackswords ended in stalemate, with the two sides digging in for a prolonged battle. The Free Kingdom’s forces were ordered to protect Maluhia’s western flank, which they did.

Finally, around noon, the Republican Guard was forced to retreat and take a defensive stance around Seestadt, while the Home Army engaged the Pyrinthian People’s army near Constitution Park.

When all this was happening, a discord raid was conducted by the Maluhians, employing nuclear weapons for the first time. Nuke bots were used to devastating effect on the Blackswords’ server, effectively crippling the Blackswords, as all communication was lost with the mercenary company.

In the afternoon, however, things changed. The Home Guard managed to temporarily fend off the Janissaries, as the Republican Guard annihilated the Pyrinthians at Constitution Park.

Day 3

The first naval combat happened- members of the Pyrinthian Imperial Navy and the Republican Navy (headed by Maluhia) clashed just off the coast of Kholtgrad, and during the battle defenders from Burnswood, a small seaside town, fired at the Pyrinthians. The battle, lasting 15 minutes, resulted in a Pyrinthian victory, and a subsequent beach battle as sides fought for control of a crucial location that is currently redacted. The aforementioned battle was simulated in World of Warships, and the Maluhians lost several cruisers and battleships, ensuring the Pyrinthians naval dominance.

The war reverted to being online, and the Maluhians’ discord server was decimated by nuke bots, with the Free Kingdom’s servers also being heavily damaged by bot attacks.

Day 4

A coordinated attack on Maluhia’s discord servers cut all communications with the Free Kingdom of Pyrinthia. At noon, a major reform changed the Free Kingdom into a Republic. The newly-formed Republic of Pyrinthia exited the war, taking its nuclear stockpile and army with it.

Day 5

The Blackswords reached the end of their contract and exited the war, reverting to neutrality. The mercenaries of the Legion also took a less active stance, only fighting defensive assignments and otherwise being idle. In the Bondi Caliphate, the Janissaries were dispatched to hurriedly fill the personnel gap.

Day 6

More discord raids were launched, and as anti-war sentiment crept into Pyrinthia, the assault on Maluhia’s borders slowed, and the navy was forced into inactivity. Rebellion began to stir inside the dying empire, and it looked like a revolution was on the horizon.

Day 7

When Pyrinthia introduced conscription, massive protests broke out in Nova Anatolia, Pyrinthia’s capital. The protests were suppressed by noon, but Maluhia further funded the rebels, which resulted in some internal issues.

A small raid on discord, resulting in a temporary communications blackout, gave the Pyrinthians time to launch a final offensive, however public outrage over the war forced the offensive to be cancelled. Thus, the Maluhians launched the first stage of an operation known as “Internal Thunder”. The green light was given to the rebels, and they started planning a revolution.

Day 8

Desperate to end the war, the Pyrinthians planned a final attack to wipe out Maluhia before a revolution began. However, on this day, Maluhia initiated the second phase of Operation Internal Thunder. Many surgical strikes took out Pyrinthian communications channels, and the Maluhians held up the Pyrinthian government by falsely claiming that they had seized a Pyrinthian official’s IP. As planned, the negotiations took over an hour to complete, as rebels silently took control of Nuevo Roma, the second city in Pyrinthia, wrestling control of it online. They also blitzed through the government forces, nuking channels and using internal spies to take down many officers and leaders of the army.

Day 9

With the government weakened, massive riots broke out across Pyrinthia. Nova Anatolia, the capital, was a battlefield, as anti war protests mixed with rebel attacks. A pocket of five soldiers still held up a fierce fight, as the elite Pyrinthian Sturmtruppen were forced into a retreat by the rebels. Repeated nuke attacks further crippled the empire, and the government retreated to South Cirwood, a Pyrinthian district. As the rest of Pyrinthia was ceded to the Maluhians (with a portion going to the rebels) this was all that remained of Pyrinthia- a backwater district with a handful of loyalists and a government-in-exile. The new rebel nation merged with the Republic of Pyrinthia, creating the United Republic of Pyrinthia, run by a brand-new political ideology, Unicracy. Further funding from the Maluhians bolstered the new nation’s economy, and by 5pm, the last pockets of Old Pyrinthia stood in the midst of the United Republic.

Day 10

The last pocket of land belonging to Old Pyrinthia stood alone. Many peace offers were floated, but all failed. A ground offensive was planned, but ultimately was cancelled due to the lockdown in Sydney. At noon, more pieces of Pyrinthian land were carved up, and plans began for the post-war recovery. The short-lived United Republic passed a referendum debating whether or not to merge with Maluhia, and most citizens agreed. At 3, the United Sovereign Territories and Republics of Maluhia (USTRM) were formed, and it was at this time that the Bondi Caliphate dissolved. Pyrinthia was all alone in the war, and it seemed that the once-great nation of Pyrinthia was in its final death throes.

Day 11- Capitulation

At 5:31pm, 8 July, Pyrinthia officially surrendered. After nearly two weeks of fighting, the once-great empire was ready to slip into obscurity, with its last citizen. The terms imposed by the peace treaty were harsh, demanding major reparations. Pyrinthia became a puppet state of the USTRM, controlled in all but name. The new puppet state was named the Cirwood Republic, but after name changes was renamed the Principality of Itabel. A dummy government was set up, and a period of peace began. What was once a great empire had become nothing but a puppet state of Maluhia, and after a hard-fought struggle, Maluhia was the only micronation in the region.

The terms of the treaty were as follows:

- Give up all independence and exist as a puppet state

- Pay 800,000,000 Pyrinthian Hyperpyrons as war reparations

- Abolish the National military

- Absorb politicians into Maluhian government

- Cede a large portion of its remaining land to their subjugators

Of course, the treaty was harsh, meant to permanently cripple the nation and let it dissolve.
