Grant Hawkins, who formed the Second Hawkins Ministry has been Vorsitzender since 18 November 2016 after being appointed by the Emperor Stephen. He was elected at the December 2016 general election held on 23 December 2016, which he took office at 1 January 2017. The ministry is officially known as the His Imperial and Royal Exalted Majesty's 20th ministry. The cabinet is made up of 10 members, 6 of which are ministers and 4 of which hold positions only. The Conservative Party formed a coalition government with the Independence Party and the Edge Party; therefore the Conservatives taking 4 positions, the Independence Party taking 3 and the Edge taking 3 as well. A new ministry was formed on 25 January 2017, the Ministry of Interior and Security, with Mike Lewis from the Democratic-Liberty Party taking the position.
It was preceded by the Hawkins I Ministry, formed by Hawkins himself.
