Political career
Deputy Premiership
Salvatore was offered the position of Deputy Prime Minister of Quixotica by King Miles several times during its various vacancies, but only accepted the position on July 25, 2018. As per the Quixotican constitution, Sal had to be a member of the Advisory Council before he could accept the position. He was encouraged to come up with the name of his constituency and the title he would like as its representative and leader. He settled on the old Icelandic title of Goði (pronounced "Go-thi") and named his province New New South Wales. He named the capital of this new province New Newport in honor of the town of Newport in Wales.
When asked whether or not he would like to be a member of either the Egalitarian or Amethyst Parties, Miller chose to remain nonpartisan. He did however agree to run alongside Esther Eaton in the August, 2018 Advisory Council Leadership election. He did so under the condition that he remain independent from the Egalitarians. As a result, he was Esther's running mate in an Egalitarian-Independent Coalition ticket.
Sal was elected in his own right on August 3, 2018 becoming the first ever Deputy Prime Minister to serve under two distinct Ministries. He eventually intends to found his own political party in the interests of preventing Quixotica from becoming a one-party state. He was the de facto opposition leader of the Advisory Council.
Sal supported the democratization of Quixotica and the foundation of a Republic.
