The Royal Albian Coast Guard (RACG) is a maritime branch of the Armed Forces of Albia. It is responsible for providing maritime safety and defence around Albia's territory in accordance with the Ministry of Defence and Royal Albian Navy.

History

The Coast Guard is the youngest branch of the Armed Forces of Albia. It was established on 22 June 2022.

Role and Responsibilities

The Coast Guard, as a branch of the armed forces, has a duty to defend Albia and its people as well as implementing the Government's maritime safety policy.

Operations

As part of the armed forces, the Coast Guard may be deployed on maritime operations along with the Royal Albian Navy.

The Coast Guard is split up into Coastguard Rescue Teams (CRT). Coastguard Rescue Teams have an Officer in Charge who is responsible for the action of that team or unit. The Team Officer in Charge typically ranks at Team Leader or Senior Maritime Operations Officer.

Ceremonial

The Coast Guard also parade at local and national remembrance parades.

Leadership

The Coast Guard is overseen by the Coast Guard Board. The board is chaired by the Chief of the Coast Guard, the professional head of the coast guard, who typically ranks at Chief Coastguard.
