The Maza Rial, is the national currency of the Sultanate of Maza. At the present time, it is pegged to the Omani Rial.

Overview

The Maza Rial uses coins and notes. Has is the name of the coins 5, 10, 25, 50 and the notes 100. Rials go from 1/2 a real to 5 rials to 10 and to 20 and finally 50 rials.

Design

Coins share the same size. Each coin is the same colour which is Gold. There were thoughts about having silver coins but it was never introduced. On the reverse of each coin is the Border outline of Maza and on the front there is the value indication. The banknote design was introduced in December 2014. A different color is used for each denomination. The obverse side features the Country name and the denomination value. The reverse side features another outline of Maza the logo for the Maza Central Bank.
