The Republic of the Savannah French: République de Savannah, also known as R Savannah, the RS (the official acronym), ROS or simply Savannah, is a micronation located in North America and land-locked by Quebec. It was formerly called Principe and a few years later the micronation was renamed to Coronia. The Southern part of Savannah has been the scene of ongoing military conflict in Rose, since 2016.
Savannah was founded on 26 December 2016 as a micronation project by Raphaël Olivier. It used to be a replica of Canada however it was named the Dominion of Principe. It was then renamed to Coronia and now it is called the Republic of Savannah.
History
Early History
In 2016 Raphaël Olivier had discovered an interest he had about Canadian politics. After reading about micronations online he decided to create the Dominion of Principe.
Dominion of Principe (2016 - 2017)
Principe was created by the incumbent president on 26 December 2016 as a dominion. The micronation only claimed one house and the gardens. The country had ridings and political parties and elections were hosted every month. The micronation rarely governed instead they concentrated on elections. Principe became inactive after a few elections this caused a famous monarchist politician to take over under the alias “Javier”. “Javier” declared himself Duke of Coronia.
Duchy of Coronia (2017 - 2018)
After being crowned Duke “Javier” decided to name the country Coronia and he dissolved the electoral commission to replace it by his court. The duchy was more of a medieval online role-play than a micronation. In March 2018 the Duke allowed cabinet positions and the founder of this project Raphaël Olivier was given the rank of Commander of the Armed Forces. Duke “Javier” then decided he wanted to kick out the founding father so he could invite his friends. Olivier was arrested for high treason and was stripped of his rank as Commander of the Armed Forces.
Due to public unrest Olivier was sent to exile to Dawn where we built his own government. The armed forces then decided it would be good for Olivier to take power for himself. The armed forces and Olivier’s militias decided to invade the baronetcy of Dawn. After this invasion they were able to take all the other states at the exception of the capital Celestia. As pro-Olivier forces arrived in Celestia all pro-duchy citizens were sent to defend the house with water guns. The pro-duchy citizens then changed sides and declared the Federation of Coronia an independent state one day later. Duke “Javier” left the server threatening to take over the admins’ accounts however these theories proved to be false.
Federation of Coronia (2018 - 2020)
Following the humiliating downfall of the Coronian Duchy, Raphaël Olivier was elected President of Coronia after winning 3 votes as an independent candidate defeating the Federalist Party who won 2 votes. Former Chief of Staff in the Duchy “Sebolivier” was made Prime Minister. The New Democratic and Liberal Parties were founded and ran candidates in the next election. Olivier and “Sebolivier” changed from Independents to their new party named the Conservative Party of Coronia known better as the CPC. The party won all the other elections to come including the Celestian provincial election.
After numerous months in power the famous Conservative Party of Coronia became the more right-wing Conservative Republican Party of Coronia. This party supported Donald Trump’s ideas and numerous right-wing populist policies. The Conservative-Republicans better known as the CRPC scored two election victories before separating in two. The far-right and populist National Rally led by Raphaël Olivier and the libertarian Libertarian Party led by “Sebolivier”. The National Rally decided to run only one candidate and they did not run for president instead their leader was given the title of Chancellor.
The libertarians were running against the Libero Party who was also libertarian, the Fidéaliste Party who was royalist, the Constitutional-Conservatives who were traditionalists, the Federalist Party who was conservative and the Monarchist Party who was pro-duchy.
On election night the first results gave 50 seats to the libertarians giving them a just majority. The government announced that voting would be open for another hour because numerous voters had school exams. By prolongating the voting period other parties got votes and the libertarians were now at 42 seats. Out of rage “Sebolivier” quitter the server and menaced to delete the owner’s account. The Fidéalistes who were in second place were sworn in. Prime Minister “Perceval” did not have much time to do anything because “Sebolivier” was pardoned and he had rejoined to lead his 42 MPs. The Fidéalistes 38 MPs were crushed with a no-confidence vote. “Sebolivier” was then elected prime minister.
The following election a debate was hosted between the Liberos and Libertarians. The Federalist party split in half following a disagreement on gun laws. These two parties were named the Chris Party and the Harry Party. Both dissolved in the following months.
During the second Celestia provincial election the National Rally and Libertarians were running against each other. The first round resulted in a Libertarian victory however they had less than 50% so a second round was held and the National Rally won. The libertarians decided to launch an investigation for no reason and they bullied and bribed people to tell them who they voted for. The libertarians then announced on television that the National Rally had actually won but their voters “regretted it”.
A governmental investigation showed that the Libertarians had influenced results in one general election and one provincial one. “Sebolivier” was pardoned once again but he then decided to form a Liberal Party. The Liberal Party won the next election winning 5 seats, the Nationals won 1 and the Fidéalistes won none. The Fidéalistes dissolved and merged into the Nationals. The Nationals and Liberals then merged together to form a conservative paty.
Following this election communist riots started in Rose. Monarchist guerrillas ended the riots. To thank the monarchists the Coronian government made Wirt an autonomous duchy.
The conservatives won a majority against the Liberals and Miners’ Rights Parties. During this election there was a constitutional monarch. Coronia then voted to become a totalitarian dictatorship.
During this small period 50% of Savannah’s current rockets were launched. The micronation then finally agreed to become a semi-Constitutional monarchy led by an Overlord.
The in-content Coronians voted to change the country’s name to Savannah.
Savannah (2020 - present)
Following the referendum to change names to Savannah the new government became a democracy however there was only one big tent party. Savannah uses this type of government to this day.
Geography
Regions
Savannah currently has six regions and one autonomous territory that isn’t counted when measuring territory. The regions are Harrisburg, Salem, Nassau, Georgetown, Dominica and Lyautey. Salem is the capital of Savannah and its largest city.
The region of Lyautey is named after Hebert Lyautey, a french commander and the sole deputy-commander of the highest honour of Savannah, the Legion of Honour.

Ethnic Groups
In Savannah there are either Salem-Francophones who are a majority in every state at the exception of Lyautey and Lyautey-Anglophones who are a minority everywhere except Lyautey. There is also a small Spanish ethnic group named the Dominican-Spaniards.
Religion =
Religion is very important in Savannah and churches have a lot of influence in some states. For example Harrisburg is ruled by the clergy like the Vatican City and is home to the Church of Harrisburg where the head of the church is elected. About 80% of Savannians identity as christian and 20% as Atheists.
Languages
People in Savannah speak french and english. Lyautey is the only region where the majority of residents speak mainly english. Spanish is widely thought at the Dominican-Spaniards are Savannians who are latinos.
Culture
Music
Classical music is most popular in Savannah followed by 80s and 90s era music. Contemporary music is jayed by numerous citizens.
Sports
The national sport of Savannah is tennis. Numerous Savannians bike, jog and swim.
Cuisine
Savannians are especially proud of French cuisine and Québecois poutine.
Media
The national broadcasting corporation is the Savannian Broadcasting Corporation (SBC) and the Popular Movement of the Revolution party has the Popular Movement of the Revolution Official Newspaper.
Conflicts
Savannah has had numerous ethnic rebellions during the time of Coronia. Lyautey is currently in the midst of a rebellion that has lasted 3 years and a civil war that has just started.
Sites
Harrisburg
The Catholic Church of Harrisburg can be found in Harrisburg this is where the Head of the Church is elected. The church is marked by a few rocks. An anglican church can be found the other side of industrial boulevard. The church is marked by a few rocks. Harrisburg is famous for trenches used during the coup on the Duchy and the industrial boulevard.
Salem
In Salem we can find the presidential palace. In this palace can been found all of the governmental rooms. Outside of the palace can be found a garden and the remains of Fort Dawn and Fort Salem. The Salem railway can be found here and the Salem Correctional Facility for all Inmates.
Nassau
Nassau is home to the Estates General where the Duchy officially surrendered to the federation.
Georgetown
In Georgetown we can find the remains of Fort Georgetown.
Dominica
Dominica is home to a make-shift wooden bridge and a make-shift wooden tipi. Dominica also has the Yekaterinburg Mansion where the Wirt-Communists surrendered to the Wirt-Royalists.
Lyautey
Mount Emerald is situated in Lyautey.
