The Republic of Punistan was founded in early April 2018, inspired by the Free Democratic People's Soviet Socialist Republic of Jocistan and the Autocracy of Jackistan]].
Etymology
The name "Punistan" comes from the country's national ethos of humour, and its love of bad puns.
Foreign Relations
Punistan has mutual recognition with the Free Democratic People's Soviet Socialist Republic of Jocistan, the Autocracy of Jackistan, and the Empire of Toristan. It also recognises all U.N. member and observer states. It supports Jocistan in its war with I Do Not Like Jocistan. It has informal alliances with Jocistan and Jackistan.
History
Punistan was founded in early April 2018, with the sole intention of being the only nation or micronation whose sole ethos is humour. During the Toristani - Jackistani War, it supported Jackistan.
