The Republic of New Pennsylvania (formerly the Republic of Vineyards) was one of the four republics in the Federal Republic of Baránok.

History

The Republic of Vineyards was established on 23 March 2021 (shortly after the dissolution of Połiak-Baránok), after a successful law proposal which made Baránok a federal republic. T.L. became the Governor in gubernatorial elections in April 2020 and was re-elected in October 2020. Vineyards was, with the republic of School the most active of the four republics of the country. On 27 July 2020, the republic was renamed to New Pennsylvania, which was approved by the legislature of the republic, the only active local legislative body in Baránok. New Pennsylvania was one of the emergency options of being Baránok's micronational successor after the latter ceased to exist in early 2021. However, the plan was never realised and New Pennsylvania's territory was handled back to Slovakia, then briefly to the Confederation of Baránok and Talcon, of which both member states are technically defunct, and the territory is thus officially still part of Slovakia.
