Kapreburg, commonly referred to as the Republic of Kapreburg was a micronation with a unitary presidential republic government that was established on 22 January 2019, and dissolved 17 May 2019. It was given to Baustralia by the fourth President, Aidan McGrath. It was then handed back over on 24 April. The last President was Jack Morris.

Etymology

The name Kapreburg has no actual meaning, although Kapre roughly translates into "Hijack" in Danish.

History

The Republic was established on 27 September 2012 as the "Republic of Zekia" by rebels in the Riloian province of Westbrog.

The original flag of Zekia from 2012

From 2012 to 2015, Kapreburg (at the time Zekia) fought a war with Riloia (pronounced Riloria). In June 2015, Kapreburg captured, at the time "Walker Hill" (Now Johnson Hill), because of this, Riloia surrendered to Zekia and ceased to exist.

In 2016, Zekia tried to become an empire, and since then they now own the territories of Kapresh Antarctica, South Fox Islands, Newgoslavia, The Golden Coast, and Lisianski Island.

In April 2017, Zekia held its first presidential election. The 3 candidates were Ahmad Johnson, Jack Morris, and Ryan Nunez Samano. Ahmad Johnson won, 11-4-0 and made Jack Morris the Vice President.

In September 2017, Ahmad Johnson resigned due to the backlash of performing poorly during a war with Mutasia.

Jack Morris became president in September 2017, and he chose Matthew Hughes to be his Vice President.

In September 2018, Kapreburg held it's 2nd Presidential Election. The candidates were Jack Morris and James Holmes, resulting in a 6-2 win by Jack Morris.

In October 2018, Kapreburg and the Catholique Socialist Republic had a disagreement between who owned the land of Bir Tawil. Kapreburg eventually gave up the land of Bir Tawil in return gaining the South Fox Island territory.

In November 2018, Vice President Matthew Hughes was impeached for treason, with Jack Beeg becoming the 3rd Vice President of Kapreburg.

In December 2018, Kapreburg's Cyber Force and the Catholique Socialist Republic's Division 301 attacked the nation of Drietsland by shutting down their internet temporarily, which then came to be known as the Black December Hackings.

Also in December 2018, the vice president Jack Beeg was taken to court to be impeached for treason, but right there on the spot in the court, Jack Beeg resigned making Aidan McGrath Vice President.

In January 2019, Kapreburg transformed from a Communist Federation to a republic.

In March 2019, Jack Morris made the official religion Jack Allahbarism. Before this, the country never had an official religion.

In April 2019, the last president, Aidan McGrath offered the Crown of Baustralia this land. This formed the Dominion of Kapreburg, which has been opposed to by the former president, Jack Morris.

On 5 April 2019, the former president, Aidan McGrath finally resigned from office due to pressure from the Ikonian government regarding his actions not to sign the Treaty of Charriot'sville. This caused the swearing in of Jack Morris back as President, with the King of Ikonia later receiving the Presidential Medal of Peace.

On 24 April 2019, the dominion was reverted back to its republic form, with John no longer holding the monarch title.

On 17 May 2019, the Republic of Kapreburg was proclaimed the Empire of Kapreburg.

Culture

Kapresh culture derives from the cultures of Chicago, the US State of Illinois, the United States, and many eastern European countries.

One staple of Kapresh culture is a type of Burger, yet without buns, you use bagels.

Some traditions of Kapresh culture are:

  • If it snows on at your house on the 14th of March, you will have bad luck for 6 months.
  • Every September 22, in the House of the Republic backyard, there is a torch-burning ceremony.
  • Every night, on December 24, you are supposed to have a taco dinner.

Government and politics

The governing type of the Republic of Kapreburg is a unitarian presidential republic. Jack Morris was the head of state as President and held the executive powers when the nation was disestablished.

The government was previously a communist federation from 1 January 2018 up until 22 January 2019, when the President, Jack Morris later stopped associating with communism.
