Reform Eastasia is a centre to centre-right political party that operates within the Republic of the Union of Eastasia, which was formed by Angus Dunn on 15 July 2021, after he left the Eastasian Social Democratic Party. The party is currently the only right wing party in Eastasia, but is not the first as the Nationalist Party of Eastasia previously existed.

History

Founding

Reform Eastasia was founded by Angus Dunn and John Seneca, with the purpose of opposing the Pan-Leftist Unification Movement which had been in power since the May 2021 elections.

Eastasian Social Reform Union

After long negotitations between the leaders of the Eastasian Social Democratic Party and Reform Eastasia, an electoral agreement was reached on 2 August 2021 where the two parties would contest the upcoming elections as a joint entity with the aim of denying the Pan-Leftist Unification Movement (now Revolutionary Front) a majority in the UNPA, as well a focusing on electoral reform to make the country fairer and freer.

Policies

The following are the current policies of Reform Eastasia:

Implementing electoral reform which would greatly decrease the number of delegates in the UNPA, which the party feels overrepresents the population
Making steps for Eastasia to join the Pan Asian-European Federation
The dissolution of the Eastasian Central Conference which the party sees as corrupt and against this wishes of the Eastasian citizens
To at all costs, prevent the splitting of Daqinghe into multiple communes
