The Principality of New Tyne was an independent principality under the domain of the Jarldom of Hjalvik. New Tyne was established on 31 January 2020, as the first principality in the Hjalsk domain, and became the only place in Hjalvik’s circle of influence to allow strongly capitalistic ideologies. It was abandoned in 2024.
History
The Principality of New Tyne was established on 31 January 2020, claiming land previously part of the Hjalsk territory of Haugsetr. The aim of New Tyne was to establish the concept of dominions within Hjalvik, and experiment new political ideologies without breaking official Hjalsk law, set within the territories. On 27 February 2024, New Tyne was officially abandoned, along with neighbouring Haugsetr, following the Hjalsk reforms.
