The Speaker of the National Assembly, officially the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Federated States of Gapla, is the democratically elected head of the majority caucus of the National Assembly of the Federated States of Gapla.
In informal or public contexts, simply "Speaker" is used, especially when it is obvious that it is referring to Gapla's National Assembly. In more formal contexts where the name "Speaker of the National Assembly" may not fit, "Legislative Speaker" is used.
The speaker holds a six-month term and is elected in February and August. The most recent election was the 2023 Gaplan general election, in which Wyatt Baek became the speaker following an FRP majority in the legislative elections. The officeholder also serves as an advisor to the Executive President.
