Popular Unionism (often referred to as Abeldane Unionism or Popular Unity) was an ideology in the Abeldane Empire which advocated for the unification of the Skype and Facebook sections of the empire. The ideology was created in the wake of the June 2017 federal election by victorious Vorsitzender Patrick Renwick. Two Abeldane political parties, the National Independence Party and Labour Party formally adopted Popular Unionism as an ideology. The ideological goal of the Skype-Facebook unification was achieved at the end of 2017 with the decision to stop updating Abeldane Facebook pages taken by Emperor Stephen. The last semblances of division were finally erased when Abeldane activity migrated entirely to Discord.
