Parliament of Vatolean

The Parliament of Vatolean is the legislature of the Vatolean. It consists of two components: the Senate and Folketing agreement of both houses and the consent of the Monarch make laws. The powers of the Parliament and its constituent parts are defined by the constitution.

The Senate is the upper house. It is comprised of one member appointed by the King. The Monarch is the Chair of the Senate.

The Folketing is the lower house. It is comprised of a number of Members of Parliament (MPs) who are elected by party-list proportional representation using the D'Hondt method. The total numbers of members is 1/3rd of the population

The Parliament was founded on 20 July 2012.
