The Parkovian Empire is a secessionist micronation located in Georgia, USA. Its Emperor is Emperor Hunter Nash I. It has an area of 8 acres, policed by its 12 citizens.
History
In April 2015, Hunter I was attending his 9th grade year of High school at Veterans High in Bonaire, Georgia. While there, he became interested in government in Civics class and believed he could do a better job than the current buggers in office. Therefore, with the aide of his then minister of Foreign Affairs, Ben Aler, the Federal Monarchy of Parkov was founded on April 15. For three months, the Monarchy ran smoothly while the constitution was being ironed out and edicts of amendment to said constitution were being issued. Then, after six months and a single email being exchanged, Hunter I issued the Imperial Mandate. This document centralized the government to allow the new Emperor to maintain the nation regardless of the involvement of others.
The Imperial Era
The newly born Empire began operations by expanding the offices of the government to encompass the official peerage of the nation, to make use of the nobility as government agents. With the aid and appointment of a new Prime Minister, Cam Birch, the nation's official currency got off the ground as the first generation bank notes, the military gained its current structure and strength, and the current Imperial ministries that rule the empire were set in stone, or paper as it were. The Empire then enjoyed a brief stint as a Paravian state, but decided to cecede on June 16, 2017. Since then, a massive effort of reform is sweeping the nation and will likely result in a third constitution.
Economy
The Parkovian Empire doesn't actually produce anything, being to small to have many natural resources asides from trees. But, if it has one resource, it's its people. The entrepreneurial spirit and ambition of the people of Parkov justify the nation's only tax. To own an officially recognized business within the state, the owner must purchase a license to conduct trade within the approved channels of the empire. This license creates a contract of mutual benefit within the relationship, the state provides a safe venue for businesses to trade in, and businesses pay a 5% flat tax on net gains. Though only on transactions taken through the physical state secured venues. This is known as the Corporate Income Tax, a piece of legislation that hopes to bring prosperity to the Empire.
Currency
The official Imperial currency is the Parkovian Dollar ($p), a printed bill issued by the Ministry of Taxation and Revenue against a government fiat and secured by strict regulation on printing and issuance. Counterfeiting has yet to become a problem for the bill but there are currently no adequate means of insuring authenticity and genuineness in a bill.
Diplomacy
The Parkovian foreign office pursues a cordial and peaceful relationship between all nations that come into contact with the Empire. A treaty of mutual neutrality and recognition was signed between the Empire and the Duchy of the Low Country in early 2015.
Government
The Empire is ruled by the four ministries, the Ministry of War, the Ministry of Taxation and Revenues, the Ministry of the Interior, and the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration. Funnily enough, the foreign office is a department of the Ministry of War, seeing as that's the only ministry to actually engage other nations, albeit aggressively sometimes.
Law and Order
The Empire is governed by the principals of the Second Parkovian Constitution, signed and ratified on November 26, 2015. The document has five articles that outline the rights and duties of the people and the government of the Empire. The judicial committee of the Empire is the College of Princes, they are the premier experts in Parkovian Law, and sit in judgement over the cases brought before them. They oversee Imperial Edicts and whether or not they pass Constitutional muster.
