Paloman Broadcasting Network News (PBN News) is a Paloman state-owned broadcaster controlled by the Communist Party of Paloma (CPP). PBN News has a network different programmes and is accessible to Palomans in a number of languages. Most of its programmes are a mixture of news, political analysis, documentary, social education, comedy, entertainment, and drama. However, news reporting about topics which are sensitive to the CPP is censored or not discussed at all. PBN News is operated by the Paloman Broadcasting Network which is owned by Paloman Broadcasting Network-Radio Paloma City.

PBN News was established on 2 June 2020 to be a state-owned propaganda machine. CCTV has a variety of functions, which mostly are focused on political analysis. As a state television station it is responsible to both the Televison Board of the Communist Party of Paloma and the Supreme Paloman. It is the only network providing news media in Paloma.

History

In 2020, CPP General Secertary and President Aidan McGrath established the Paloman Broadcasting Network as the states premier television company. Paloman Broadcasting Network News was established a few hours after the PBN in in anticipation of holding the first ever Vice Presidential debate between then Vice President Jack Morris and Vice Presidential candidate Leon Montan.

An artificially generated Anchorwoman Anna hosting PBN News: Political Hour

On the June 19 2022, PBN News released its first edition of a new segment called "Political Hour" to discuss the upcoming Vice Presidential elections in July. An artificially generated Anchorwoman named Anna was tested and used during the broadcasting. Powered by Synthesia, Anna was used to announce topics and expects speaking on the segment. The test was received with mixed reactions with positives stating it was "innovative" and negatives with others claiming it was "eerily human" or too much in the uncanny valley.
