The Order of the Ruthenian Crown is a decoration instituted by the order of King Oscar I of Ruthenia on 7 December 2014. The Order is awarded to citizens who enhanced national unity or for merit towards the Crown or State in public service, as well as to the foreign nationals who had assisted the country. The Order is awarded by the King.

Five grades were awarded: Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer and Knight. The Order's appearance changed in 2015 and had changed their ribbons, one for each degree within the Order. The Grand Cross and Grand Officer have new designs ever since.

History

First version of the Order of Ruthenian Crown and his ribbon.

King Oscar ascended the Throne in 2014, when the Kingdom of Ruthenia was founded. During the Scandinavian Affair, the fight between Lusophone and Anglophone movements within the country forced the King to temporarily suspend the Constitution to declare a royal dictatorship to save the Ruthenian unity.

The order is awarded to people who enhanced national unity or for merit towards the Crown or State in public service, as well as to the foreign nationals who had assisted the country. The Order of the Ruthenian Crown is senior to Order of Ruthenian Star. The Order is conferred by the Crown of Ruthenia.
