The Order of Public Merit is the second highest national order of merit of the Cheskgariyan-Litvanian Commonwealth and the fifth highest order conferred by the nation. Established on 29 March 2021 by a royal decree issued by the Grand Duke of Litvania, the order is conferred on both foreigners and civilians for the highest contributions and services in fields of public service and human endeavours.
Grades and insignias
Grades
The Order of Public Merit is conferred in three distinct grades – Grand Commander, Grand Cross and Knight or Dame Commander. The third grade of Knight Commander is reserved for males while females are conferred as Dame Commander. All recipients of the order are entitled to bear post-nominals of the order. Grand Commanders of the order bear the post-nominals of GSM, Grand Cross bear the nominals of GCM, while Knights Commander bear the post-nominals of KCM and Dames Commander as DCM.
