Old Hokoria, formerly known simply as Hokoria, was a micronation in West Yorkshire, a county in the United Kingdom. It was a state where the Head of State was a member of the Hokorian Royalty, and the Leader of Hokoria was democratically elected. It was founded following the Republic of Aweland being dissolved. The Head of State of Hokoria also founded Aweland, and created Old Hokoria to have the same values but a different structure of government. Willow Cizdeizd I used connections from Aweland to form foreign relations.

The name Hokoria originates from the Japanese word '誇りあ' or 'hokori a' which means proud. Hokoria followed the Republic of Aweland in having a focus on supporting the LGBTQ+ community. The founder, Willow Cizdeizd I was openly trans non-binary.

Hokoria was founded on 17 December 2022, by Willow Cizdeizd I following the dissolvation of the Republic of Aweland. After building basic infrastructure for Hokoria, the first general election was held. It concluded on 1 January 2023, when Laurel Mary Bäch was appointed as the Leader of Hokoria. Independence was declared from the United Kingdom on 3 January 2023 through an official publication from the Office of the Head of State.

Seizure of Government

On 13 January 2023, Willow Cizdeizd I seized control of the Hokorian Government through an 'EXCUTIVE SEIZURE ORDER'. This effectively removed the Leader of Hokoria, Laurel Mary Bäch, from office. All members of government were dismissed.

The Head of State of Hokoria was Willow Cizdeizd I. There was one government, called the Hokorian Government. The Hokorian Government was overseen by the Leader of Hokoria, who was democratically elected to serve up to 5 one month terms. The Hokorian Government had six branches which are each individually managed by their own Government Branch Officers. Government Branch Officers were appointed by the Leader of Hokoria.

The Representative Council worked to represent the demands of citizens, and consisted of up to 15 citizens that are appointed to be Members of the Representative Council by the Leader of the Council. The Leader of the Council was democratically chosen by the Members of the Representative Council.
