The Elarian federal elections of November 2021 was an election to decide the next Prime Minister of Ela'r'oech. It was held on 10 November 2021. It was initially announced on 5 November 2021, 5 days before it would take place. The candidates included Christoph Billung, Andrew Perdomo, Cam of Lateritia, and Anthony Ramirez. Anthony later dropped out and endorsed Perdomo as the next Prime Minister. Cam was later dropped for inactivity. By the day the elections were to take place, Billung and Perdomo were then the only ones to still be in the election ballot. A voter recount, brought about due to accusations of voter fraud, was completed on 11 November 2021.

Media Coverage

Elarian News Media, a new news coverage source in Ela'r'oech, was the first news source to begin coverage of the elections. Notably, they also covered the debate and the majority votes from each constituency. Ela'r'oech News Source projected Christoph Billung as the next Prime Minister, though hilariously after, Perdomo later gained the lead. Initially, ENM was covering the debate and also went on to add headlines for notable things said by the candidates. This included Perdomo stating that Charles Madgett was "an inspiration" of his, as well as claiming that Christina Nowell has "bribed and connived" her way into other micronations and stating she would never be "a part of Elarian tradition." While the debate was underway, the constituency Keystone had votes already coming in via text. Continuing with the debates, Christoph Billung stated that Ela'r'oech was in need of becoming independent and claimed "We must make it to where they have to lean on us," implying the desire to make allies co-dependent on the micronation. He also, after some nice words directed at Charles, claimed that Bryce Smith had "doomed this country." After this, the candidates made their final words to undecided voters where Perdomo stated "We need to heal Ela'r'oech," and that Ela'r'oech should be a micronation any citizen of Earth could look up to. Billung stated that he would ensure tradition and uphold the culture of the micronation along with defending it.

Coverage from Elarian News Media displaying voter fraud accusations.

After the debate, the election got underway with Keystone calling for Billung as the constituency's majority of votes were directed towards him with a 5:2 ratio of Billung to Perdomo. Neo-Alaria called that it would be too close to call as one voter was sleeping before being woke up. Ela'r'o called for Billung as well, putting him easily in the lead as by then the votes were 13 for Billung and 10 for Perdomo. Around this time, Ela'r'oech News Source projected Christoph Billung as the next Prime Minister.[1]

The Militia Lands, however, majorly voted for Perdomo, with a 2:5 ratio opposite of Keystone. Neo-Alaria beforehand had it's votes majorly for Perdomo.

Accusations of Fraud

At 10:28 PM, the Neo-Alarian Government accused the Militian-Controled Zone Government of voter fraud. The results have yet to have been decided. "#StopTheSteal" ironically became trending as many Elarians believed that there was voter fraud on the side of Andrew Perdomo. The election votes from those still awake were recounted on 12:30 AM, 11 November 2021. They still ended up with the same results, so Charles stated that they would try again later in the day when others were awake to produce actual results.

Recount and Confirmation

There was a voter recount held on 11 November 2021, it began around 9:00 AM CDT and ended on 10:00 AM CDT. The votes confirmed all previous votes, leading to Perdomo's victory. One final voter pushed his way through to vote for Perdomo as well, further securing his victory. Ela'r'o, due to this, was deemed "too close to count" afterwards, however the victory is still to be handed to Perdomo.
