The New People's Party (Spanish: Nuevo Partido Popular) is a political party in Aswington.
History
It was founded on June 4, 2019. It participated in the parliamentary elections for the first time, obtaining three seats in parliament.
On November 15, 2019 the political party became part of the Civic Alliance, a coalition of political parties, on the eve of the general elections held in December of that year. However, after the elections, the party lost all its seats and became an extra-parliamentary force.
It returned to parliament after winning one seat in the 2020 elections.
Position
The party defends the rights of the sex-diverse community, as well as the protection of the environment. Although it operates independently, actually the party currently supports the current president, Juan Cisneros, as well as some government policies.
