Summary
The First Mayoral Election under the alias of New Granton for the Federal Republic of Bloxburg was held on November 15th 2020. It saw controversial Incumbent Mayor aswesomegirl3480 defeated in bid for a Second Term by Former Vice President Saageou. Marked the first defeat for an Incumbent Mayor in New Granton. A recall election was petitioned by the National Union Party of Bloxburg and was called on by Vice President Upset99. During the short campaign, polls had Saageou trailing awesomegirl3480.

Voter Irregularities Dispute
The Electoral Commission was established during the election to address the calls to root out voter fraud after many illegal votes were cast for Mayor Awesome. This was settled by the Electoral Commission which invoked protections and confiscated ballots that were deemed illegal.
Refusal to Concede
Then-Mayor, awesomegirl3480, with only 7 minutes left of the election was being protested against to concede the election. Awesomegirl3480's refusal to concede the election would continue to go on after the polls had closed. Although he had refused to concede the election, he would eventually lose his position to newly-elected, Saageou.
