The National Assembly is the unicameral legislature of the Republic of Roseland. It is made up of representatives elected from the single constituency of Roseland, Engels Island. There are currently 5 empty seats in the Assembly, planned to be filled in the first election of the reformed legislature in summer of 2016.

The first incarnation of the National Assembly was Roseland’s Congress, established in the original Constitution Act of 2016. Months after the creation of Roseland’s Congress, the nation lost one of its provinces, reducing the nation’s legislature to only two seats. In response to this crisis, Premier Sophia Albina suspended the Constitution Act and made amendments to the system, making Roseland into a single, multi-member district.

These amendments also included the renaming of the legislature to its current name, the National Assembly.

Elections are expected to be held at the end of July or beginning of August 2016.
